As a regular practice followed every year, the academic session of 2023 began with an orientation programme for the parents. The programme focused on spreading awareness among the parents about the scheme of education we impart at our school and included a query solving session led by a child psychologist illuminating the path of positive parenting. Parent can keep a track of their child’s academic status in terms of daily attendance, results of the various tests and school circulars through the school’s WhatsApp group as well as the software ‘egyan’. This software provides a direct upload of daily homework parallel to that given in the class so that the parents are also aware of the same.

In an effort to upskill of teachers, we hosted various workshops on life skills, stress management, moral values and also on academic subjects along the likes mathematics and English.

In order to inculcate the habit of respecting parents and elders in our children, we conducted a programme named ‘Sneh Programme’ where the students were encouraged to perform rituals that focused on respecting elders according to their religion.

A general body meeting of parents is held on regular basis. The PTA member of our school are closely involved in most academic activities. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are an essential part of the life of any educational institution as they strengthen the class room learning as well as develop the personality of the child. At Venus Public School, these activities are conducted throughout the year. Some of the events organized were the fancy dress competition, card making, best out of waste, poster making, singing competitions as well as various dance competitions. To foster national integration, religious and cultural awareness and tolerance amongst various national, religious and cultural festivals and occasions were celebrated.

The various festivals celebrated include Independence day, Republic day, Diwali, Lohri, Christmas, Eid etc.

Some global events which we celebrated were Hindi Divas, Yoga day, Road Safety day, Girl Child day, Science exhibition etc. we also celebrate various weeks on monthly basis namely Hindi week, Science week, S.St week, IT week and so on by conducting various competitions for consecutive 3 days.

We conduct various field trips to expose students to different experience and the class toppers get a chance to go on international trip to locations like Singapore, Nepal and Dubai. We have also introduced other prizes and awards like bicycle, tablets, alexa speaker, study tables etc. to motivate our students, the whole expenses being borne by the school.

Towards the end, I thank the management whose continuous support has enabled the school to reach this for teachers and entire staff also played a vital role and deserve a great applause for their sincere tireless efforts. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the parents who have shown faith in us and gave an opportunity to transform their children.
